That is the credo, when Berendsohn asks international designers to create a real innovative product.

The most unconventional result is LICHTSTRECKE.  A candle burning in a horizontal position puts traditional expectations on their head.

The candle impeccably shines from its position in a metal block and is a real eye-catcher inspiring discussions among guests.

The unusual design was invented by Iris Merkle in cooperation with the Stuttgart-based design office DNS. In 2005, LICHTSTRECKE received the iF product design award.
