Berendsohn AG's Social Commitment
| For the Berendsohn Company it goes without saying that it shares its success with other people, to promote the skills of so-called fringe groups or to get involved in other social projects. | |
Herzenswünsche e.V.Herzenswünsche e.V. (heart's desire) is a non-profit-making organisation acting throughout Germany which makes dreams come true that seriously ill children and young people have had for a long time, thus fulfilling their heart's desire. We support this organisation because our company is socially committed. Social to us means to treat the well-being of the general public with the same respect as our own. We would like to help seriously ill children through their most difficult time with our involvement. To this end, a percentage of the sales price on selected articles is donated to the Herzenswünsche organisation, after Berendsohn has doubled this amount. Together we will reach our aim more quickly -- the children will be grateful to you.
'Sternenbrücke' Children's HospiceWe have been supporting this children's hospice in the Hamburg suburb of Rissen for five years now. A share of each order is donated to this charitable organisation for children who are terminally ill and only have a short life expectancy. The hospice provides a humane environment for these children and their families so that they can experience their limited time together as intensely and consciously as possible.
'The Schlumpers' Group of ArtistsThe arts overcome frontiers and unite people around the globe. That is why 'The Schlumpers' from Hamburg are among those artists who are regularly commissioned by Berendsohn for exclusive projects. The members are mentally handicapped and with their expressive, sensual and merry art have won the hearts of museums, galleries and collectors. The success of all the artists' creations continues to be overwhelming. Their products for Berendsohn always reach high production figures and prove that commercial interests, creativity and charitable dedication can be combined in a sensible manner. We have been cooperating with the group since 2002.
Govinda Entwicklungshilfe e.V.Currently, 50 children and youths have found a home at the 'Shangri-La' orphanage in Nepal. Some of them are physically handicapped. They are aged between 3 and 16 years and are brought up by the ten Nepalese employees with as much love, affection and security as possible. Berendsohn supports the Govinda development aid organisation thus making a contribution to the children's needs, such as food, school education and a fair chance in life.
